Fickle Food

If I had a spare $580 lying around, I might just pick up one of these Ventana 6 Light Fixture Lamps.  I don’t really need new lighting fixtures, but you have to admit that it looks awfully nice.  The dark brown look makes it really versatile, and it’s not so modern that it’s going to be dated in a year or two.

What do you think?  Is it crazy to spend almost $600 on a lighting fixture?

I don’t really *need* a lot of office furniture, but when I saw this Manhattan Pistachio Leatherette Office Chair, I was in love.  I actually saw a chair just like it (but a different color) at a hotel I was recently visiting.  It seems like most modern-looking furniture is really uncomfortable, but the one I saw was extremely soft with great lower back support.

What do you think?  Is the color just awful?

It’s really not fair that kids get all the toys (not to mention all the time to play with them).  People wonder why most adults are so insufferably boring - I suspect it has something to do with the lack of toys.

Since Jeaux’s still busy working (not enjoying Disney cruises like she would prefer), I thought I’d share this Gourmet Tea Set I came across the other day.  I was looking for affordable gifts for casual acquaintances, and I thought this set was perfect.  It can be so hard to find gifts for people you don’t know extremely well, without appearing cheap or totally thoughtless.  This set seemed like a cute, classy gift that always anyone would like - no small task for something that costs slightly less than $20.  For that price, you get the teapot you see below, along with four different teas to sample.

If you wear a lot of t-shirts, you owe it to yourself to invest in a good T-Shirt Bra or ten.  Delia’s has some great, relatively cheap versions that you can pick up at their website.  I particularly like the polka-dotted version I’ve included below.

What do you think?  Do t-shirts really need their own bras?  Or is this just another crazy attempt by the bra industry to ram more products down our throats?  Does it really matter, assuming they’re this cute?

I came across this cute bed-in-a-bag set today and I almost got out the credit card.  After looking at pictures of Reno hotels for next spring, it’s a nice contrast to the garish hotel bedspreads.

Since Jeaux is a little busy these days, I’m going to help keep the blog up until she can get back to posting regularly.  I do a lot of online shopping, so I come across plenty of fun products worth writing about.
Most of the tote bags you see in stores are pretty boring, but this one is actually really cute.  I could definitely see Abby going for something like this, especially considering the fact that her Warhol tote bag is about to give out.  I probably should have gotten her something like this for the birthday she celebrated last weekend - but then again, I did give her cash.  She can use that to buy bags, dinner, or even new coffee tables if she feels like it.
